This one is probably one of the simplest tips I have given, but it is useful. I think some of you may do this already and I know other bodybuilders I know do this but I thought I would pass it along for those of you who aren't that great in the kitchen.
All of us who cook food ahead of time have run into issues where the food doesn't look as good to eat. I guess mainly I am talking about chicken. After cooking a few days worth of chicken, we take it out of the oven and pop it into a tupperware container. This is okay but we all know that 'slime' that is at the bottom of the container a few days later and it sucks.
There are a few ways to avoid the 'slime' but here is the trick I use to get rid of it. If you cook your chicken in the oven you most likely use some type of cooking sheet. Instead of putting the chicken directly into the sheet and putting it in the oven try this. First throw some aluminum foil in the sheet, then buy a grate that is about the size of your sheet and place it in the sheet. Then take your chicken and place it on the grate, season and throw in the oven.
Now your chicken is cooking in mid air and not swimming in its own fat. After its done, take the chicken out and let it sit for a few minutes to cool. Once its cool then put it into some type of storage dish and in the fridge.
Its a simple solution to an gross problem and some of you probably already do this. If you don't I hope this has helped you a little.
